SOLARWATT Home app: February 2026 update notes
26.02.2026
The February 2026 update introduces the ability to tariff optimise devices based on price zone electricity tariffs!
By SOLARWATT UK & Ireland Contact
With the new SOLARWATT Home app update, you can now charge your battery and run devices during off-peak tariff windows directly on our app.
What's new on the SOLARWATT Home app
- Enter your variable electricity tariff into the app!
- Price zone block-based tariffs (e.g. Octopus Go) and dynamic tariffs (e.g. Octopus Agile) are supported.
- Check out our video tutorial
- Tariff optimise your SOLARWATT Battery vision - it will charge during the lowest times on your variable electricity price curve*.
- Configure a PV buffer for your battery during tariff optimisation to leave some space for PV generation now that the sun's starting to come out in the spring!
- Also tariff optimise your electric vehicle - the SOLARWATT Manager will charge your car during the cheapest electricity times and top it up with excess solar PV when plugged in.
- Requires a compatible SOLARWATT Charger
- You're able to specify the amount you want to charge your car each day.
- Visualise running costs and savings based on your newly entered tariff in the SOLARWATT Manager portal and current electricity price on the SOLARWATT Home app's electricity tariff graph
(*note: if you have a charge-time schedule programmed into the inverter screen, you'll need to remove this first)
