Frequently asked questions

Can Charger vision be installed standalone without Battery or Inverter vision?

Yes, Charger vision does not require a Battery or Inverter vision to work.

However, to make use of time-of-use features, scheduling, or reactive load management (to balance charger consumption against the max current of the household incoming grid supply), a SOLARWATT Manager (Manager flex / Manager rail) and CHINT Meter DDSU (single-phase version) / DTSU (three-phase version) is required.

A CHINT meter is included with each Inverter vision, but can also be purchased separately. When installed without Inverter vision, the CHINT meter can be wired directly to the RS485 pins on the Manager and connected in EM.Setup as a standalone CHINT vision Main meter with a zero-generation PV plant.
