Solarwatt is strengthening its leadership team: The Supervisory Board of the Europe-wide solar energy company has appointed Peter Bachmann to the Executive Board. As Chief Product Officer (CPO), the 43-year-old will oversee Solarwatt’s product division and work closely with Benjamin Frank, who has been steering the company as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Finance Officer (CFO) since 2024. Peter Bachmann has held various senior positions at Solarwatt for more than 13 years.

Since 2024, Peter Bachmann has been responsible for the entire product portfolio and now also heads the Sales division and Solarwatt’s five international subsidiaries. “Peter Bachmann is a highly experienced manager who has played a key role in positioning Solarwatt for the future. We believe he is exactly the right person to drive the company forward together with Benjamin Frank,” says Dr Achim Wörner, Chairman of the Solarwatt Supervisory Board.

Solarwatt aims to open up new segments

For Peter Bachmann, Solarwatt’s transformation into a solutions provider for electricity, heating and mobility is well on track: “In the past twelve months, we have launched a completely new product portfolio for homeowners and businesses, further advancing sector coupling. In addition, we offer the right solutions to help our customers benefit from opportunities in the new energy market, such as dynamic electricity tariffs.”

Looking ahead, Peter Bachmann sees significant potential for Solarwatt – in close cooperation with its partner network: “We want to tap into new segments and continue to grow alongside our partner businesses across Europe. One example is the commercial market, which is currently developing very well. We not only supply the products but also support our installation partners with our long-standing expertise and the right digital tools for planning and implementing projects. We will continue to strengthen this positioning as a one-stop-shop provider.”

Product updates planned for 2026

In the first half of 2026, there will also be updates across various Solarwatt product groups, as Peter Bachmann explains: “Our current product portfolio is very well received by our customers and installation partners. However, part of Solarwatt’s DNA has always been to continuously develop our solutions and systems and set new market standards. We will remain true to that.”
