Local Power and SOLARWATT Strengthen Long-Standing Partnership

SOLARWATT UK & Ireland has strengthened its long-standing partnership with Irish renewable energy specialist Local Power Ltd, announcing a new multi-year agreement during Intersolar Europe in Munich.
Headquartered in Dunboyne, County Meath, Local Power has been a valued SOLARWATT UK & Ireland customer and partner for more than a decade, supplying premium solar PV and battery storage solutions to homeowners, farms and businesses across Ireland.
The renewed agreement reinforces both companies' shared commitment to delivering premium, future-ready renewable energy systems backed by German engineering, European warranties and intelligent energy management.
Pat Smith, Managing Director of Local Power Ltd, welcomed the agreement, highlighting the continued strength of the partnership.
"We have proudly partnered with SOLARWATT in Ireland for more than ten years and remain committed to delivering premium German-engineered products backed by European warranties. The SOLARWATT Battery vision system, developed in cooperation with BMW, combines premium design, carefully selected high-performance battery cells and advanced engineering to deliver one of the most innovative residential energy storage solutions available today.
SOLARWATT pioneered glass-glass solar module technology, and we were proud to be the first company to introduce this premium technology to the Irish market over a decade ago. While many manufacturers have since adopted glass-glass construction, SOLARWATT continues to set the benchmark with premium engineering, European-backed product and performance warranties, robust 2 mm glass-glass construction and a Class A fire safety rating.
Beyond product quality, SOLARWATT's commitment to responsible manufacturing and sustainability is equally impressive. Its independently verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), industry-leading corporate sustainability standards and solar modules with up to 50% lower CO₂ emissions during production compared with conventional modules demonstrate that performance and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
Today, SOLARWATT offers a truly integrated home energy system. From premium solar panels and inverters to battery storage, intelligent energy management and EV charging, every component is designed to work seamlessly together. Having a single manufacturer supporting the complete system gives our customers confidence through one point of supply, comprehensive warranty support and long-term service."
Peter Bachmann, Chief Product Officer and Managing Director of SOLARWATT, said the renewed agreement reflects the strength of the long-standing relationship between the two companies.
"We are delighted to extend our partnership with Local Power and continue supporting their excellent work in the Irish market. Over the past decade they have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions and exceptional customer service.
Together, we share a commitment to providing homeowners, farms and businesses with premium, integrated energy systems that deliver outstanding performance, long-term reliability and greater energy independence. Partnerships like this are fundamental to helping customers transition confidently to clean energy.
Together with BMW, we continue to invest in the next generation of integrated home energy solutions, such as Vehicle-to-Home integration into the SOLARWATT Manager. We look forward to bringing further innovations to the Irish market as we continue helping customers maximise their use of clean, renewable energy."
The renewed agreement further strengthens the relationship between SOLARWATT UK & Ireland and Local Power Ltd, ensuring customers across Ireland continue to benefit from premium German-engineered renewable energy systems backed by European warranties, intelligent energy management and expert local support for many years to come.
