Update October 2025
Release Notes - Version 10.25.40/41.1
General improvements
Changes & new functionality
EM.setup
The EM.setup dashboard has been redesigned with an improved user interface. All settings are now easily accessible in one place.
Network settings: New heading, clearer description, layout fix and updated menu icon
Device search: For systems in Italy, a warning appears that not all devices can be connected to Battery vision
A warning message has been added when creating a PV plant if no free inverter, replacement inverter or S0 meter is found
The feed-in tariff value now defaults to 0ct/kWh (except in Germany, where it defaults to the national value of 8.03ct/kWh)
Various translations for network settings, PV plants, curtailment testing and Location area have been added and improved for Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch and Swedish
SOLARWATT Inverter vision
SOLARWATT Inverter vision inverters will now automatically be detected by the manager; no more manual steps are required to search for this device
Improved support for setups without a battery or meter, including fixing a bug where EM.Setup would show a ghost battery had been detected when one was not installed
Added curtailment support (forcing the inverter to not use all current generation for self-consumption)
Kostal Plenticore G3 hybrid inverter
Added support for schedules for battery control
Native Modbus connection for Plenticore G3 hybrid inverters is now possible through manual installation
Use of KSEM or KEM-C/-P as energy meter
Monitoring of inverter, battery and meter
Added curtailment support (forcing the inverter to not use all current generation for self-consumption)
my-PV AC Thor i
Models with serial numbers starting with 200103 and 200113 (the UK & Irish model of AC Thor, called AC Thor i) are now supported.
Bug fixes
EM.setup
In consumer-only setups: All active consumers including SmartHeater are correctly taken into account (incorrect load summation fixed)
Decimal numbers for PV module power can be entered again with comma or point
After locking the configuration, the link to the summary works again
Input fields when creating a PV plants now react in real time (validation)
Inconsistent inverter configuration for PV plants with S0 meter fixed (battery inverter is correctly displayed as occupied)
Error with serial connection: Baud rate options are no longer displayed twice
Communication
Potential restart loops with offline devices has been fixed.
Meters & measured values
S0 meters: Work values are synchronized correctly again
Shelly EM: Is now also taken into account as a consumer and can be used as an energy meter
FNN base meter: Fixed translation error with baud rate options
Balancing: Bidirectional energy meters are correctly included in the calculation (heat pumps via Shelly now correctly recorded)
Inverters & batteries
SOLARWATT Inverter vision / Battery vision: A number of issues concerning the display of maximum charging/discharging power has been fixed
SOLARWATT Charger max: Error in the scaling factor of the energy values (due to firmware update) fixed → Working values plausible again
Varta: Batteries are displayed correctly again in the cloud
PV optimization: Error with hybrid inverters (Fronius Symo GEN24, Kostal Plenticore, Steca SolBrid) fixed → PV surplus is determined correctly, battery charging is no longer incorrectly interpreted as surplus
UI & user-friendliness
UI error message in the curtailment test module has been expanded with a more detailed error reason
Values for alignment and vertical inclination in the PV plan can be deleted and saved again
