Improper or incorrect use of the charger vision may result in device malfunction and/or life-threatening situations and will void the warranty.
Safety instructions and general sources of danger
SOLARWATT Charger vision has been designed and tested in accordance with international safety requirements. However, certain safety precautions must be observed when installing and using this charging point. The installer must read and follow all instructions, precautions and warnings in this installation manual.
- All work, including transport, installation, commissioning and maintenance, must be carried out by qualified and trained personnel.
- Electrical installation and maintenance of the charger must be performed by a licensed electrician and comply with local wiring codes and regulations.
- Inspect the unit prior to installation to ensure that there is no shipping or shipping damage that could affect the integrity of the insulation or safety clearances. Choose the installation site carefully and adhere to the prescribed cooling requirements. Unauthorized removal of necessary safeguards, improper use, incorrect installation and operation can result in serious safety hazards and electrical shock or damage to the unit.
- Before connecting the charger to the mains, contact the local power company to obtain the relevant permits. This connection must only be carried out by qualified specialists.
- Do not install the device in unfavorable environmental conditions, e.g. in the vicinity of flammable or explosive substances, in a corrosive or desert environment, at extremely high or low temperatures or high humidity.
- Do not use the device if the safety devices are not functioning or are deactivated.
- Wear personal protective equipment, including gloves and eye protection, during installation.
- Inform the manufacturer of deviating installation conditions.
- Do not commission the unit if deviations are detected during operation. Temporary repairs should be avoided.
- Only approved spare parts may be used for all repairs and must be installed by an authorized specialist or an authorized Solarwatt Service Center.
- The responsibility for commercially available spare parts lies with the manufacturer of the spare parts.
- When the charger is disconnected from the mains, extreme caution should be exercised, as some parts may hold so much charge that there is a danger of electric shock. Before touching any part of the Charger, ensure that surfaces and devices have a safe temperature and voltage potential for contact.
