Behaviour during power cuts

    IMPORTANT!

Print out this page and make sure that this information is readily available to you in the event of a power cut.

In the event of a power cut...

    • The system automatically switches to Backup mode in the event of a power cut, allowing your home to be powered independently from the grid.

    • During a power cut, power is supplied from solar power and the battery.

    • If sufficient solar power is available, the system can supply the house without interruption and continue to charge the battery.

If the battery completely discharges during a power cut...

    • If the power outage lasts longer - especially overnight - the battery can be (almost) completely discharged. If this happens, backup mode will be interrupted.

    • Black start: when solar power is available again, the inverter resumes Backup mode, supplying the house directly from generated power. However, the battery needs to be restarted first before it can resume charging. Do this by pressing the Power button (not the B-Start button!) on the side of the battery.

    • The system will then re-enter Backup mode.

When power is restored to the grid...

    • When power is restored to the grid, you don't need to do anything.
The battery and inverter will restart automatically.

    Note

Before the battery switches off due to a complete discharge, it remains in a mode in which the battery LEDs flash red for approx. 90 minutes. If the public grid returns in this state or solar power is available again to charge the battery, proceed as follows:

    Solar power available again:

    • Press the ESC (back arrow) button on the inverter. This allows power to be saved in the battery again.

    Public grid available again

    • Switch the battery off and on again once using the Power button. Power can then be saved in the battery again.
