Birmingham, September 2026 – As the UK energy market continues its transition towards smarter, more connected energy systems, SOLARWATT will showcase its latest residential energy storage technology at Solar & Storage Live UK 2026 (22nd - 24th September 2026).
Visitors to Stand A36 will have the opportunity to experience SOLARWATT Battery vision 2.0, the latest generation of the company's battery storage platform, designed to help homeowners maximise self-consumption, increase energy independence and prepare for the future of home energy management.
Part of the complete SOLARWATT Home system, Battery vision 2.0 combines with premium glass-glass solar modules, intelligent energy management, EV charging and backup power solutions to create a seamless, integrated energy solution for modern homes. As homeowners increasingly look beyond solar alone, installers have a growing opportunity to deliver higher-value projects that combine generation, storage, mobility and smart energy control through a single trusted supplier.
At the heart of this year's showcase is Battery vision 2.0, which delivers significantly higher storage capacity while maintaining virtually the same footprint as its predecessor.
"In the first version of the SOLARWATT Battery vision, the usable capacity of a battery pack was 2.6 kilowatt-hours. It is now 4.3 kilowatt-hours. This means that, with almost the same dimensions and at lower prices, Solarwatt now offers 42% more usable capacity. This significantly improves the economic performance of the storage system," says Peter Bachmann, Chief Product Officer & Managing Director at Solarwatt.

Developed for the Connected Energy Home
Battery vision 2.0 was developed as part of a comprehensive SOLARWATT energy system and is designed to meet the requirements of an increasingly dynamic energy market.
Its performance retention (SoH, State of Health) over the guaranteed service life of 12 years is based not only on the typical charging behaviour associated with solar self-consumption, but also on more demanding charging and discharging profiles involving dynamic electricity tariffs, Vehicle-to-Home applications, energy optimisation and participation in future flexibility markets.
This makes Battery vision 2.0 ideally suited to the next generation of connected homes, where solar generation, battery storage, electric mobility and intelligent energy management work together as one integrated system.
More Capacity, Greater Flexibility
Like its predecessor, SOLARWATT Battery vision 2.0 features a modular design.
A system consists of two to six battery modules, each providing 4.3 kWh of usable storage capacity, allowing storage capacities from 8.6 kWh up to 25.9 kWh per battery tower.
A second battery tower with a further 25.9 kWh can be connected to the same inverter, reducing hardware costs while increasing total storage capacity. For larger applications, up to ten battery towers with a combined capacity of 259 kWh can be integrated into a single system.
Two Battery Towers on One Inverter
When combined with the SOLARWATT Inverter vision, Battery vision 2.0 offers a highly efficient, high-voltage storage solution. The battery cells and system architecture have been specifically matched to ensure optimal performance across the entire energy system.
Because up to two battery towers can be connected to a SOLARWATT Inverter vision max, more than 50 kWh of storage capacity can be installed using just one inverter.
Suitable for New and Existing PV Systems
The combination of Battery vision and Inverter vision is ideally suited to both new-build solar installations and retrofit projects.
Thanks to a plug-and-play design, the system can be installed and commissioned quickly and efficiently. The battery also supports backup power functionality, helping homeowners maintain access to essential power during grid outages.
The distinctive design of the SOLARWATT Battery vision was created with BMW subsidiary Designworks USA. Solarwatt also worked closely with BMW on the development and selection of system components.

Alongside Battery vision 2.0, visitors to Solar & Storage Live will be able to explore the wider SOLARWATT Home System, including premium glass-glass solar modules, intelligent energy management and the BMW Wallbox Professional, offering a glimpse into the future of integrated home energy and electric mobility.

SOLARWATT Manager Controls and Optimises the Entire System
At the centre of the SOLARWATT Home system is the SOLARWATT Manager, the company's Home Energy Management System.
The SOLARWATT Manager analyses and optimises energy flows across the entire system, ensuring that the maximum possible proportion of low-cost solar energy is consumed within the home. By intelligently coordinating solar generation, battery charging, EV charging and household consumption, the system helps homeowners reduce energy costs while preparing for future dynamic energy markets and flexibility services.
