- A WPMsystem controller is required
- A compatible STIEBEL ELTRON ISG Connect or Web is required with the EM Trend for Solarwatt module installed
- Cascade mode heat pumps aren't supported (dedicated heat pumps for hot water / heating are fine)

Heat pumps with SG ready relay inputs that are marked as 'SG Ready' can be wired in for the purpose of running the heat pump to divert excess solar power to pre-heat your hot water tank. This requires an additional accessory for the SOLARWATT Manager to connect the device and some physical wiring, but is supported.
